Spring Nucs
The Carniolan queens arrived from Australia safe and sound with no casualties. After picking them up from the airport and bringing them home, the first job is to give them a drink of water.
The queen and her attendants feed on the fondant. When introduced into a hive, the bees will eat the fondant from the outside and eventually release the queen.
Treva is putting a queen in her cage into the nuc. In two days, we will check and if the queen has not been released by the bees, we will release her into the nuc.
Now it is up to the bees to accept the queen and get her laying again.
